Monastery and Salem Palace

Affenberg Salem
More than 200 Barbary Macaques live freely within a forest area of 20 hectares. A footpath guides visitors through the monkeys' home range where you meet the animals from eye to eye, without any physical barriers. Specially prepared popcorn is distributed and can be fed to the monkeys.

Öchsle-Railway
For purely railway romance with the Öchsle on the 19 kilometers are enough distance between Warthausen Ochsenhausen. The nostalgic trip with the steam course on the 750 mm narrow-keep in track-strains leads by the hilly landscape of upper swabia, past at historical stations from the explosive growth. The Öchsle has its own, to a large extent parallel to the distance running cycle track and bicycle transport is free.
